Wash dishes with soap, not your skin

Did you know soap strips the skin of its natural pH and protective barrier and is the root cause of many skin problems? allmedic non-soap barface & body cleanser

If you have washed your face with soap before, you know how it feels tight and dry afterwards. That’s because soap strips the skin of its natural oils and disrupts its delicate pH balance. If you continue this, you could severely damage your skin and leave it looking dull and wrinkled.

Applying soap to your skin has the same effect as if you applied dishwashing detergent. Washing with soaps and detergents, like Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Laureth Sulphate, activates an enzyme system that destroys the skin’s integrity and causes water loss, leading to dehydration and itchiness. To be scientific, soap can increase production of stratum corneum chymotryptic enzyme and impair epidermal barrier function.

To solve this problem, allmedic has formulated a pH balanced, non-soap, foaming face and body cleanser in the form of a gel or bar that is suitable for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin. The allmedic Face & Body Cleanser contains 4 active surfactants (cleansers) that are mild and effective at removing dirt and oil. The Non-Soap Bar is pH balanced at 5.2-5.8 to prevent drying of the skin.

You see, your skin’s natural barrier is acidic, whereas soap is alkaline-based. A pH scale is used to measure acid and alkaline levels, so pH is the acid/alkaline balance of a substance. On the pH scale 7 is neutral. Anything below that is acidic and above it is alkaline. Our skin’s pH balance is generally between 4 and 6.5. Because soap is extremely alkaline, if you use it on your skin it interferes with your skin’s pH balance. That’s why allmedic’s cleansers have a specially formulated pH balance of 5.2 to 5.8.

The allmedic cleansers are fragrance free, biologically active and free of phthalates, parabens, artificial colours and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. They are designed to be used sparingly twice a day to remove make-up, dirt and oil. Rub between wet hands to form a foam and lather, and then apply to wet face and body, gently rub it in, and then wash off with water. They can also be used for shaving or as a substitute for shampoo.
